OUR MISSION STATEMENT
Celebration of Faith is an interdenominational group that was formed to provide an
outreach to the unchurched and non-believers in the Fort Myers Beach area. Following
the command of Christ to "go... and make disciples of all nations", we present monthly
prayer and praise gatherings at the beach. Faith experiences are shared through music,
dance, the spoken word and drama in the hope that others may come to know the love
and grace of God through His Son, Jesus Christ. Prayer partners are available for those
who wish to pray or simply discuss what they have seen or heard. Celebration of Faith
exists to extend the fellowship of God's church to others and presents all programs to the
glory of God.
Everyone has a faith story. Some of these stories involve life-changing events
while others may represent small, single incidents in one's day. All faith stories,
whether big or small, are life-affirming and offer an opportunity to share
faith experiences with others.
An ecumenical group of Christians from the Fort Myers Beach area has been
sharing their faith stories for over 3 years now in an effort to bring the message of the
love and forgiveness of Christ to those who have no church home.
We invite you to share your stories, either in person or in writing, through
Celebration of Faith. The group meets weekly on Thursday mornings at 8:30 AM in the
Chapel by the Sea Presbyterian Church on Fort Myers Beach. The Mission Statement of
Celebration of Faith is printed above.
If you would rather join us by singing, playing an instrument, dancing or acting
in a sketch, we would be delighted to have your talent among us. We invite you to join
our group and participate in our monthly programs presented at the beach on the last
Saturday of each month. If you cannot meet with us, but would still like to participate in
some way, we will be happy to talk with you and explore ways in which you may be a
part of our ministry.
